Naina Devi Temple:
To the north of the lake is the Naina Devi Temple, one of India''s venerable 64 Shaktipeeths. It was destroyed by the landslip of 1880 and later rebuilt

Raj Bhawan:
Raj Bhavan was built by British as residence for Governor of North West Province. Now Raj Bhavan is the official accommodation of Governor (Uttarakhand). The Governor's House was built in the line of Buckingham Palace having double storied 113 rooms. For visiting this place prior permission is must.

Naini Lake:
The nucleus of Nainital’s un comparable beauty is beautiful lake. In the day, mirrored in its waters stand seven proud hills, dotted with pretty cottages and villas. More beautiful than this however is the lake at night when the myriads of bulbs from the hill sides and quite a large number hanging near the lake’s edge stab their magic light into its waters.

State Observatory:
A short four kilometers drive from town takes you to the Observatory on Manora Peak at the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences, which is equipped with high-power telescopes. The observatory is devoted to astronomical studies and optical tracking of artificial and earth satellites.

Nainital Zoo:
At an altitude of 2100 meters in sprawling open area there is Govind Ballabh Pant High Altitude Zoo. Now a days it has Monkeys, Himalayan black bear, Leopard ,Siberian Tiger,Palm civet cat, Wolf, Silver Pheasants, Rose ringed Parakeet, Hill Fox , Ghoral, Barking Deer, Sambhar. The zoo remains closed for visitors on Monday, all national holidays, Holi & Diwali.

Cave Gardens:
A hot favorite with children Eco Cave Gardens bring out the explorer in them. The garden, 2 km further up from Mallital consists of six caves which get narrower as you progress though there is a facility to get out after every cave. It is recommended that people who are claustrophobic should not explore the later ones especially

The Mall:
The market is located in Mallital and is popular for traditional shawls, scarves, cardigans and local jams. Do check out the renowned handloom and Kumaon woolens, for their quality and warmth.

Bara Bazaar:
Bara Bazaar is also popular for candles, available in captivating colors and delightful designs that are locally produced.

Tibetan Market:
The Tibetan market along the edge of the lake is very popular and ideal if you good at bargaining; and while shopping do try the famous momo’s here.

Snow View:
Take the aerial ropeway to enjoy that glorious view of Nainital's lush surroundings from Snow View (7,448 ft) located atop the Sher-ka-Danda Hill. One of the most sophisticated ropeway at Nainital, this is the first of its kind in India. The ropeway covers a distance of 705 meters with an altitude gain of 300 meters

Naina Peak or Cheena Peak:
Naina peak is the highest peak of the town , at an altitude of 2611 mts. and at a distance of 6 Kms from the town .It commands an entrancing view of sparkling snow laden Himalayas from Bandar Punch in west to Api and Nari peaks of Nepal in the east , a full Himalayan range in one side and a birds eye view of the lake city of Nainital in its full grandeur on the other

Tiffin Top:
Located at a distance of 4 Kms from the town this peak is 2292 mts. above the sea level in Ayarpatta region. Tiffin Top commands an excellent view of the Himalayas as well as the neighboring country side. Dorothy seat a memorial to an English lady painter Dorothy Kellet build by her husband an admirers after her death.
